Bernard Trottier

Bernard Trottier is a Senior Associate at Solstice Public Affairs. Bernard has a long and distinguished career in politics, business, and public service. A former Member of Parliament for Etobicoke-Lakeshore, Bernard served as Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs and La Francophonie, as well as for Public Works and Government Services. 

During his time as a federal Member of Parliament, Bernard served on the House of Commons Official Languages Committee and represented Canada as political rapporteur at l’Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie

Clients seek Bernard’s expertise on sensitive matters of public interest. A seasoned executive, Bernard was previously Managing Partner of Gartner Inc., a global IT research and advisory firm. He offers unique insights in a broad range of economic sectors, with specific expertise in management consulting, digital strategy and government relations. Bernard currently serves as an adjudicator on both the Assessment Review Board (ARB) and the License Appeal Tribunal (LAT) of Tribunals Ontario.  

Bernard completed a Master’s in Business Administration at the Ivey Business School, and a B.Sc (Eng) from the University of Alberta, during which time he also studied at HEC Paris, l’Université de Montréal and the University of Ottawa.
